22 – Snake on Leaves

In My Happy Hats Gallery on May 20, 2012 at 12:27 pm

I spent about a week finding and intentionally deciding to use small pockets of found time to work on this one.  Getting the details that felt right into their place inside the snake took most of the time.  Yesterday we spent a good part of the day at grandma’s so I was able to finish inking the pencil drawing, and I’ve spent most of this morning working on the colors and the background of leaves.  Finally that feeling of completeness reached me.  It is done.  I’m happy.

  1. Like it! Love the contrast of bright colors on the snake with the neutral leaf colors. Cool!

Please, tell me what you think about this post.
