29 – Bird in Nest

Bird in Nest

Finally I got around completing another piece.  August has been an extremely busy time at work.  We have been welcoming our Fall students and as of this past Friday the welcoming part is over… at least in my area.  Students are moving on to settling down in their new living spaces and going to their classes.  Now we move  ourselves on to a more moderate pace of business.

This Saturday I was able to work on this piece for three good solid hours.  My husband and son survived without me, and I have to say that my husband has been very generous helping me have this time given that he’s itching to have some solid hours himself to play his new game.

Anyway, here it is. Bird in Nest.  Done with the ink and meditation approach.  Completed with pencil, then marker then finished with colors in the computer.

You may want to check some of the other illustrations I’ve done with this technique:

20 – Dark Clowns
19 – Elephant plays with mud
16 – Monster fish
15 – Tree and Dog

If you like any of these pieces and want to buy them you will find them in my imagekind or cafepress stores.  If you like them but do not want to buy them, please know I would still love your comments, likes and shares of their posts!

If my blog resonates with you and you know other people who would find it interesting, practical, fun or inspiring, please share it with them using any or all of the fancy sharing buttons below. Sharing is the only way my writing will reach new readers. Thank you!

  1. It’s a very nice illustration. I like the night sky and the feathers in particular. Oh, it’s a very nice game too, in case you were wondering.

  2. I think I love you.

Please, tell me what you think about this post.
