Artic photo at the fair

A couple of kids having fun and their picture taken at one of those put your face in the hole backdrops at the fair.  This illustration has many elements that are dear to me.  The face of the kid having his picture taken is my son’s face.  I drew it from one of his school pictures of when he was three.  He has a whimsical expression on his face.   The kid on the back, looking serious and making the bunny rabbit ears with his hand has the teasing spirit of my husband.  I can clearly see him do that. The texture of the wood for the backdrop comes from the bench where we currently sit to have our dinner after my son’s swimming class.  The background is from the Fun illustration where I let my child mind enjoy herself.  I can say this is an illustration made out of joys.

If you like any of my pieces and want to buy them you will find them as mousepads, cards, journals and prints in my imagekind or cafepress stores.  If you like them but do not want to buy them, please know I would still love  for you to comment, like them and/or share them!

If my blog resonates with you and you know other people who would find it interesting, practical, fun or inspiring, please share it with them using any or all of the fancy sharing buttons below. Sharing is the only way my writing will reach new readers. Thank you!

  1. Before I read your description of the illustration and was just looking at the image, I was thinking the boy’s face looked like our son’s. Why didn’t I pick up on this before? Maybe I wasn’t really looking at his face but more the over all concept. At any rate, I can certainly see the resemblance. Well done.

  2. Thank you! Maybe you were too busy with Torchlight II to really notice. 😛

Please, tell me what you think about this post.
