Iguanas and Snakes

Working on this one has been a delight.  It brought back to memory the wooden alebrijes sold at one of the markets in Mexico City.  I felt happy about the all Mexican vibe that working on this illustration brought me.  It looks lovely on the wall.  If you like it, go ahead and buy an Iguanas and Snakes print!

Ragdolls

This sketch came as a surprise this weekend.  My mind was able to stand in the same place to find these Ragdolls in the lines.   I guess I knew, but had not really seen how much disquiet I have been in.  This is the start of a come back to these grounds.  If you enjoy my art, and want to have it on your walls or gift it to someone you love, feel free… buy a Ragdolls print!

Warrior

It doesn’t cease to surprise me how my illustrations and the process of creating them continue to drag out things from my life.  I am in the process of learning and putting into practice a lot of different blocks of things I need to continue being effective where I stand.  This illustration started just like that, blocks sitting next to each other to form the head, after that the overall shape came to mind and the blocks where drawn more intentionally and focused to complete a warrior, my husband says looking at it a different way it also looks like a dancer.  I like both.  If you like it too Click here to buy a print of the Warrior!

Singing Sea Cucumbers

Started with my pencil going circles on the paper.  It is fun to see the connections my mind makes.  For me it tends to bring up mostly animals.  I wonder why.  I wonder if it is the same for most people.  I wonder if it can be more directed.  But I don’t want you to wonder.  Click here to buy a print of the Singing Sea Cucumbers!
